NAPA News - Week 8, Term 3, 2021

This has been a week of great achievements by our Performance Teams and their teachers as you have probably seen on our Facebook page! They have not only gained outstanding results at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod but the feedback from judicators, staff and audience members on their behaviour, their attitudes and how well they all presented themselves in their uniforms and costumes, was outstanding. At NAPA we value this as just as important as the level of performance they gave. I hope you are all feeling not only proud of these performers and their teachers but also feeling proud to be part of our NAPA Family.

NAPA News - Week 7, Term 3, 2021

The week has been filled with rehearsals for productions and the eisteddfod. Changes of dates for all of these has been difficult to navigate but the support we have had from everyone has been incredible; getting children to extra rehearsals, changing other plans to attend the new dates, changing tickets, re-blocking of dances and productions due to some of our students over the border ... the list goes on! It has certainly proven how flexible and resilient our NAPA families and staff are! Thank you everyone for doing your part! The first couple of days of the Eisteddfod has already been a great success, the kids smashed it! Check out the outstanding results – great job everyone who performed this weekend we are so proud of you.

NAPA News - Week 2, Term 3, 2021

Our first week went off with a bang with our fabulous Performance Team concert and a great vibe of excitement at the studio. Now they are Gold Coast Eisteddfod ready – chookas to all the teams! It was a challenging first week with the extra COVID restrictions, but it was made easier by the compliance of teachers, students and their family members to the rules provided - thank you. Our next performance is Abigail’s Coven. This will appeal to those of you who love a historical-based drama. With so many productions on this semester, we ask that you help set aside time for your child to practice. Lots of routines and musical numbers are on the online learning platform and most of our students should have lines, dance routines and lyrics down by now, so lots of extra effort is required from this point onwards.

NAPA News - Week 10, Term 2, 2021

This is the final week of term with the last classes being held on Saturday, 26 June. Term 2 has been filled with auditions, eisteddfods and a great finish to the term, our Solo Concert. This was a sold-out performance with the audience being treated to a fabulous display of talent. Our Solo Concerts give an opportunity for students having private lessons, to polish what they have been learning on stage for a live audience which for many will be a great way to prepare for their upcoming eisteddfods. Congratulations to all of the performers and their teachers for an incredible performance!

NAPA News - Week 9, Term 2, 2021

Our first student show for the year kicks off this week in the form of our Solo Concert and then it gets very busy from this point with our heavy schedule of productions and concerts. We are constantly asked about dates. Please note that all dates for all shows have been on our website since the start of the year – check on the Playbill. Our website is our go-to spot for information. For new parents, it is important to note that our shows sell out quickly, so you need to get in early before people outside of NAPA grab tickets. In the past we have had some very disappointed parents who have missed out. Our shows attract community audience members as well.

Hope you have all had a wonderful week and enjoying the long weekends. Just a reminder, that only Performance Teams are at NAPA on Monday as indicated in the last newsletter, everyone else can enjoy a break for Labour Day. Rest assured that the extra time the children and teachers put into rehearsals close to concerts, plays and musicals, more than makes up for time off on public holidays.
