NAPA News - Week 5, Term 3, 2024

Welcome back NAPA Family. Week 1 at Gold Coast Eisteddfod Groups has concluded, and we are so proud. Our Performance Team had great successes, but the most important thing is that every time they attend another comp or performance, they learn another lesson. Whether that be helping a student improve their stage confidence, learning to do their own make-up, implementing notes or feedback given during class, or just improving on the last performance! We are super proud of the high quality of our NAPA groups, the discipline our students show on and off stage, and their love of dance and passion for performing.

NAPA News - Week 1, Term 3, 2024

We are well under way for term 3! This past weekend our Broadway Bound Extension class performed Rock of Ages and were met with several standing ovations! The kids have had the best time working on this show and it brought me so much joy to see them smashing it every night. When we announced that we were doing a ‘rock’ musical the kids were unsure at first but seeing them step outside their comfort zone and embrace the challenge was just amazing. A great lesson in never shying away from a challenge and instead using the experience to grow into an even more versatile performer. We are SO proud of you all.

First and foremost, I must say thank you to everyone who has reached out with kind words and support as I take over as the sole owner of NAPA. After being partners for 18 years it will certainly be a big change for me, but I know I am not alone, as the NAPA family has always been such a great support. I must thank our amazing staff who have been fabulous throughout the transition and of course to my partner in crime Lynn, who started as my teacher and then became my business partner and most importantly my friend. We have created an amazing space that I am so proud of and I can’t wait to continue our legacy. Big shout out to Laurie who has always been such an amazing part of NAPA. From building sets to working on admin to everything else in between. I know you will be missed by many! We are sending all our love to you both for retirement and can’t wait to see all your travel updates!
