NAPA News - Week 2, Term 3, 2024
Welcome back to another busy week! Gold Coast Eisteddfod has begun and our students are already having massive success. We are so proud seeing all of the results coming through! Keep up the great work cherubs.
NAPA Jibbits
Our NAPA Jibbits have arrived! Get yours from Reception - $5. Thank you to our P&F Executive Committee for organising another fun NAPA item for our cherubs.
CAR PARKING
We have had a complaint from our neighbours (NAPA Auto Parts) about parents parking in their carpark when they are still open, but also the speed in which some cars are entering the carpark. They are happy for people to park there after they close, but please ensure you are taking care in all areas around NAPA, as there are often children crossing the street or families making their way to their cars.
VOCAL CONCERT
Our Vocal Concert is next up on Saturday this week. If your child is involved you should have heard from their private vocal teacher. The concert will begin at 6.00pm and all students need to arrive by 5.00pm to have a quick sound check. Please see your child’s teacher for details around what to wear etc. We can’t wait to see our vocal students shine!
THE CON - pre-senior tread the boards
Our young actors are nearly ready to hit the stage! Please ensure you have checked all extra rehearsal dates and reach out to Miss Amy with any questions - [email protected]
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR TICKETS!
ABSENTEES
A reminder that all absentee emails should be sent to our office manager Kimberley. Kimberley adds a note to your child’s class roll for all teachers but will also let me know if necessary - [email protected]
WINTER UNIFORMS
There are still a few winter uniforms at reception for pick up. Please see Kimberley for your items. Don’t forget to label your child’s uniforms as we have already had a few misplaced items in lost property. I’ve loved seeing the kids around all snug in their puffer vests and jackets.
FROM THE P&F
REMINDER: P&F meeting 6pm on Monday, 22 July at NAPA.
It was terrific to meet so many people last weekend at Rock of Ages. Thank you to those that had feedback or ideas they wanted to share. Please come along next Monday to discuss your ideas and feedback, meet more of the P&F and hear about the projects we’re fundraising for, how we’re raising funds and what events we are planning for the rest of this year. See you there!
Nic Fogarty, P&F President
Have a great week everyone!
Kim and The NAPA Team
What a huge few weeks it has been at NAPA! Our competition season has certainly kept us busy, and we are incredibly proud of the way our students have represented the studio. Beyond the results, it has been wonderful to see the growth, teamwork, resilience and support for one another that comes from getting out on stage and putting all that hard work into practice. A massive congratulations to every student who performed, and a big thank you to our teachers and families for everything that goes on behind the scenes to make these weeks possible.
And there is certainly no slowing down just yet! We are now heading into an exciting few weeks of productions, with Bring It On and The Jungle Book Kids both getting ready to hit the stage. There is so much happening across the studio, and we can’t wait to see all of that rehearsal-room work come to life!
A little reminder as we head into production season: there will be some changes to our regular timetable during production weeks to accommodate rehearsals, performances and staff commitments. Please keep a close eye on your emails and studio correspondence, as we will communicate any class changes, cancellations or adjustments as early as possible.
It’s a busy time of year, but also one of our favourites with lots of opportunities to perform, learn, support our NAPA friends and celebrate what our students have been working towards. Thank you, as always, for staying on top of communication and for being part of our wonderful NAPA community.
Now, onto this week’s news!
