    COURTNEY MONSMA

    WICKED, FROZEN, SIX THE MUSICAL, PAPER DOLLS

    Courtney Monsma is currently playing Glinda in the touring Australian production of Wicked. Previously, she was most well-known for starring as Princess Anna in the recent Australian tour of Disney’s Frozen the Musical. She has recently filmed the new Australian drama series Paper Dolls for Helium Pictures which appears on 10 and 10 Play.

    Other theatre highlights include the role of Katherine Howard in SIX The Musical presented by Michael Coppel, Louise Withers and Linda Bewick at the Sydney Opera House in 2020, the Australasian tour of Disney’s Aladdin covering the role of Princess Jasmine, the Australian 2017/18 tour of Mamma Mia! presented by Michael Coppel, Louise Withers and Linda Bewick covering the role of Sophie, and Opera Queensland’s Kiss Me Kate.

    Hailing from Queensland’s Gold Coast, Courtney has performed in concerts and live events across the local area from a young age and graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University with a Bachelor of Musical Theatre in 2017. At the Conservatorium, under the direction of Associate Professor Paul Sabey, Courtney appeared as Charity in Sweet Charity, Carmen in The Life and Maria in West Side Story. She also toured with the production of I Love You, You’re Perfect Now Change.

    On screen, Courtney has appeared in numerous short films including playing the title role in award winning short Dorothy, as well as appearances on Toasted TV for Network 10 and The Strip for Nine Network.

    Courtney released her debut album In The Light in 2022 which features some of her favourite and career moment songs, as well as her original track The Light That You Are.

    Whilst at NAPA Courtney had many achievements including being awarded the 2014 Performing Arts Ambassador Award at the International Women's Day Awards, Best Actress at the Indi Film Festival in Toronto (Short Film – “Dorothy”) and Best Actress in a School or Youth Musical at the Gold Coast Area Theatre Awards 2013 (Hairspray – PBC) and again in 2014 (Peter Pan – Top Hat Productions).

    Michael has most recently been cast as ‘Jonathon Kent’ in Superman & Lois (Warner Brothers) (2022, 2023) and while studying at NAPA College, featured as ‘DJ Max’ in Spin (Disney Channel) (2020), Teddy’ in Grace Beside Me (2018) - series regular, ‘School Yard Kid’ in Swinging Safari (2018), Extra in Harrow (2019), Reef Break (2019), Pirates of the Caribbean (2015), Voice Over in Mako Mermaids (2015), TVCs for Hallmark Homes, Movie World and Shell Solar.

    Gold Coast based, Emily Monsma is graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University where she completed her Bachelor of Music: Musical Theatre. Under the direction of Associate Professor Paul Sabey, Emily appeared as Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Celisse in Godspell and Sheila in A Chorus Line. Most recently, Emily appeared in the Ensemble (U/S Carole King) in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and as Glinda in Wicked, both with Matt Ward Entertainment. She appeared as the Swallow in The Happy Prince, a timeless tale set to a soaring score by well-known musical director David W. Young. Emily has also toured nationally in Arena shows of Hairspray: The Arena Spectacular as Penny Pingleton and in Grease: The Arena Experience as Marty, as well as originating the onstage role of Leah in Nickelodeon’s Shimmer and Shine Live! (Pen2Stage), Regina in Rock Of Ages (NAPA Ensemble) and Blue Girl in NAPA Ensemble’s production of Downtown! The Mod Musical.

    THE KING AND I, DON QUIXOTE, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR, NEW GOLD MOUNTAIN, NOWHERE BOYS, THE FAMILY LAW

    Sebastian is a graduate from The Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. There, he was awarded the Grace Marion Wilson Trust scholarship for Excellence in Acting.

    Sebastian starred as Chen in SBS mini-series New Gold Mountain and his other television credits include The Family Law (SBS) and Nowhere Boys: Season 4 (ABC). Sebastian has also performed the role of Prince Chululongkorn in Opera Australia’s The King and I (QPAC), and appeared as a supernumerary in The Australian Ballet’s 2023 revival of Don Quixote (State Theatre). Sebastian has performed with Melbourne Shakespeare Company on their productions of The Comedy of Errors as Angelo, A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Puck and The Merry Wives of Windsor as Slender. He most recently performed at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Breath and Bones Theatre Company in the original work How to Be a Person When the World is Ending, followed by a subsequent season at Theatre Works.

    Wowing audiences as a semi-finalist on THE VOICE AUSTRALIA 2022, Cassidy has performed frequently as herself, her alter-ego COTTA or as one half of her corporate acoustic duo. A singer-songwriter by trade, Cassidy has performed as a musician at the 2020 and 2022 AFL Grand Finals in Brisbane and Melbourne, at corporate events the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and Home of the Arts Gold Coast, as well as in musical theatre and cabaret productions across Queensland.

    Having worked recently with prolific Melbourne producer Oldland, Cassidy has released a number of hit singles as COTTA, which have been added to Triple J Unearthed rotation and picked up by many curated Spotify and Apple Music playlists.

    From her early days training at NAPA to gracing TV screens and recording studios, Izellah Connelly has proven she’s a powerhouse talent with limitless potential.

    Izellah first joined the NAPA family in 2015, and over two key training periods (2015–2017 and 2022–2024), she immersed herself in all aspects of performance—musical theatre, acting, dance, screen, and ensemble work. Her commitment to growth and excellence was evident from day one, and it's no surprise that she’s now making waves on a national and international scale.

    Since leaving NAPA, Izellah’s star has continued to rise. She landed a recurring role on the Nickelodeon TV series Rock Island Mysteries, captured the nation’s attention on Australian Idol, and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Musical Theatre at Griffith Conservatorium. She's also worked on a feature film (yet to be released) and is actively recording music under a professional label.

    When asked how her time at NAPA shaped her journey, Izellah says:

    “My training at NAPA has truly helped me in every possible way. It prepared me for auditions, taught me how to present myself, and gave me the essential tools to succeed in the industry. I was lucky enough to have Miss Suzanne for two hours every Tuesday morning—this made a huge impact on my development. She helped me build the stamina I needed, which has been incredibly beneficial for the intense training we’re doing at the Conservatorium. My time at NAPA deepened my understanding of what true musical theatre and performing is.”

    Izellah continues to inspire current students and fellow alumni alike with her drive, talent, and passion for the arts. We’re so proud to watch her journey unfold—and we know this is only the beginning.

    ALADDIN, WEST SIDE STORY, A CHORUS LINE

    Max is a graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), with a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) where he won the Jackman Furness Foundation Award for his cabaret solo at the Julie Michaels Cabaret Competition. Max made his professional stage debut in West Side Story (The Production Company). He has toured Australia and Hong Kong with Peppa Pig Live! and Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom Live! (Life Like Touring).

    In 2016, Max was an original company member in the Australian production of Aladdin (Disney Theatrical Productions), in which he understudied and performed the roles of Iago and Omar. Max toured with Aladdin throughout Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

    Sabrina graduated from NIDA and recently accepted the lead role in the Outback Spectacular production of Heartland. Sabrina also sang the National Anthem at the 2018 Melbourne Cup. Her debut single ‘Glad It’s Not Me’ made waves across Australia in early 2022. As well as graduating NIDA and starring in stage productions ‘Legally Blonde’ and ‘High School Musical’ and TV’s ‘Love Child’, Sabrina Durante has a long history in equestrian, winning Australian National Equestrian Championships multiple times in the show horse discipline.

    Ethan played 'Liam' in the feature film Swinging Safari with Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue, Julian McMahon and Radha Mitchell under the direction of Stephen Elliott. In 2018 Ethan was cast as ‘Private Alf Bartlett’ in the film Danger Close, starring alongside Travis Fimmell, Luke Bracey and Nicolas Hamilton under the direction of Kriv Stenders.

    Madison trained at NAPA from 2008 to 2014, immersing herself in Broadway (Musical Theatre), Dance, and Performance Teams. From a young age, she showed a spark for the stage — a spark that’s now lit up audiences across the globe.

    Since graduating, Madison has enjoyed a 9-year professional career as a performer, with standout achievements including:
    🌟 Three performance contracts with Hong Kong Disneyland
    🌟 Eight cumulative years at Warner Bros. Movie World

    Over the course of her career, she’s worn many hats — Dancer, Singer, Actress, and Face Character — and has even stepped into leadership and trainer roles within the industry, sharing her knowledge and passion with the next generation of performers.

    When asked how her time at NAPA shaped her path, Madison shared:

    "NAPA shared an abundance of incredible knowledge with me — from theatre etiquette to how to hold myself in both an audition and a rehearsal room! I learned to approach all opportunities with professionalism and an open mind. NAPA taught me that we never stop learning!"

    Her advice to current students?
    "Always believe in your dreams and goals. Work hard and enjoy what you do — and you’ll achieve them!"

  • HARRY SAM TOWNSEND

    UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN, CATACOMBS, BELLÉ

    From the stages of NAPA to the bright lights of Japan, Harry Sam Townsend has carved an incredible path in the performing arts industry!

    Training at NAPA from 2018 to 2021, Harry honed his skills in Broadway (Musical Theatre), Tread the Boards (Plays), Dance, Performance Teams, Film and Television, and NAPA College. His dedication to mastering multiple disciplines made him a standout performer and set the foundation for his flourishing career.

    Since graduating, Harry has soared to new heights, earning a Musical Theatre Diploma from Brent Street before stepping into the professional world. He is currently a lead performer and Show Captain at Universal Studios Japan, where he has captivated audiences for the past three years. Beyond performing, Harry has showcased his creative talents as the Producer, Choreographer, and Writer of the hit productions "CATACOMBS" and "BELLÈ", both of which played to sold-out audiences in Japan. Adding to his list of achievements, he is also a music producer and writer, having released a full-length album titled "Bellè".

    Reflecting on his time at NAPA, Harry shares:
    "Without my training at NAPA, I wouldn’t be where I am today. The support from the teachers and the endless opportunities I was given allowed me to become an all-around triple threat in the industry. From understudying roles to learning about lighting and audio equipment, and training under industry professionals in all dance and vocal styles, NAPA gave me the biggest boost and advantage in my career."

    Despite his busy career, Harry's heart remains with NAPA:
    "I will forever be a NAPA kid, and I miss all of you so much! Sending my love!"

    Her journey from NAPA student to international performer is a testament to her dedication and hard work. Whether she’s enchanting guests in a stage production, leading a musical number, or embodying beloved Disney characters, Tori continues to inspire with her professionalism and vibrant stage presence.

    We are incredibly proud of Tori and can’t wait to see where her career takes her next. She is proof that with passion, perseverance, and training, dreams really do come true!

  • SAMANTHA DILENA

    PISS GIRLS (WRITER, DIRECTOR, LEAD ACTOR—EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL),

    YEARS AT NAPA: 2013—2019

    Samantha trained extensively at NAPA across Musical Theatre (Broadway), Acting (Tread the Boards), Dance, Film & Television, and was a proud member of multiple Performance Teams. Her years at NAPA laid a solid foundation for her versatility and professionalism across multiple performance disciplines.

    Career Highlights:
    Since graduating, Samantha has carved out a bold and inspiring path in the arts. She is the writer, director, and lead actor of Piss Girls, premiering at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2024—a production that completely sold out. She also wrote and directed the short film Little Blue, and worked behind the scenes on London’s West End production of The Devil Wears Prada as part of the technical crew.

    Reflection on NAPA Training:

    “At NAPA, excellence through work ethic is ingrained into your professional training. Miss Kim, Miss Greta, Miss Kristine, and Miss Holly all helped prepare me for the professional world in London by believing in my abilities and constantly challenging me to grow. NAPA was my second home—from the incredible people to the inspiring spaces—and I cherish those early days so fondly. The foundation of my training was created at NAPA.”

    Samantha’s creativity, ambition, and work ethic continue to shine on international stages. We’re so proud to celebrate her journey and can’t wait to see where her passion leads next!

    During her time at NAPA, Halle was a vibrant and committed student, taking part in Broadway (Musical Theatre), Dance, and Performance Teams. Her passion for performing and eagerness to grow were evident in every class and on every stage she stepped onto.

    After completing her training at NAPA, Halle achieved an incredible milestone — joining the cast of Hong Kong Disneyland! Working internationally in such a renowned and competitive performance environment is no small feat, and we couldn’t be prouder of all she’s accomplished.

    Reflecting on her journey, Halle shares:

    “My NAPA training helped shape me into the performer I am today! The guidance from my teachers and support from my peers created a positive environment I was able to thrive in. I believe my acting training at NAPA was a huge factor in preparing me for the Disney audition and performance work throughout my contracts. I love and appreciate how NAPA promotes personal growth to produce professional performers ready for the work environment. I will always be grateful and proud to be part of the NAPA community!”

    Flynn was a dedicated NAPA student from 2006 to 2018, immersing himself in a variety of classes including Broadway (Musical Theatre), Tread the Boards (Plays), Dance, and Performance Teams. His passion for performance and willingness to learn stood out from the very beginning.

    Since graduating, Flynn has carved out an impressive and diverse career. Some of his standout achievements include:

    Competing on Australian Ninja Warrior, showcasing his physical prowess and determination,

    Portraying Claude Bukowski in Hair, and this week was awarded People’s Choice Award at the Dolphin Awards for an Outstanding Performance for this role.

    Delivering a powerful performance as Christopher Boone in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and

    Returning to his roots as a permanent player at his beloved NAPA, inspiring the next generation of performers.

    Flynn reflects on how his time at NAPA shaped not only his career but his life.

    "My time and training at NAPA taught me that hard work and dedication will outweigh talent every day of the week. I learned the importance of resilience — setbacks don’t define you, but how you respond to them does. NAPA showed me the power of creating a positive, inclusive environment, and the importance of loving and respecting everyone you work with."

    Flynn credits NAPA for instilling the values of perseverance, inclusivity, and self-belief — qualities that continue to guide him both on and off the stage.

    "NAPA forever changed my life for the better. I am truly honoured to have made the friends and memories I keep close to my heart. I wouldn’t be the man I am today without the National Academy of Performing Arts."

LILLY VAN DER MEER

Lilly is a Los Angeles based model and actress best known for her lead series regular role on 'Neighbours' as Xanthe Canning.


CONOR PUTLAND

Conor is a driven and passionate performer hailing from the Gold Coast. Falling in love with performing arts at a young age, Conor endeavours to share stories with audiences across Australia. In 2019 Conor graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University with a Bachelor of Musical Theatre. Conor is currently touring professionally as Swing in Grease the Musical. Conor made his professional debut as Joey in Friends the Musical Parody before touring Australia with Hairspray! (John Frost for Crossroads Live) as a Swing.

More recently Conor originated a role in the new Australian production MidnightThe Cinderella Musical. Other credits include Daniel in Once On This Island and Marius in Les Misérables.


MICHAEL KING

Michael has been a lifelong Wiggles fan, owner of the largest Wiggles collection as far as the eye could see and he has had the amazing privilege to work for The Wiggles in many different ways. He's toured as a Wiggly Dancer, has been the "helper" of every Wiggly Friend (except for Shirley-Shawn) at least once; (Most notably filled in as Captain Feathersword when Dom Field was filling in for Simon). King has also been on stand-by as an understudy for Anthony Field during a show when Anthony was ill. King has also been working at Dreamworld for a number of years. In 2018, he became known as the "Wiggly Brain of the Universe" when he competed against Anthony getting every question right.


CHLOE FINLAY

After graduating from Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre, and spending four years performing at Universal Studios, Japan, Chloe has arrived home to explore further performance opportunities. Chloe is currently performing at theme parks across the Gold Coast.


HALLE ANDERSON

Halle has recently commenced her first professional adventure in joining the cast at Disneyland, Hong Kong.


LILLI NEWMAN

Lilli grew up on the Gold Coast performing in musical theatre productions and dance concerts before relocating to Melbourne to study dance at Patrick Studios. At 19 years of age, she set out on her professional career dancing around the world on cruise ships, in theme parks and even in Bollywood films.

After losing overseas work during COVID, she rejoined the Howell Management team to continue to grow in the industry.


LILLY JERRETT

Lilly graduated from ADPI and accepted a position at ‘Draculas Cabaret’ on the Gold Coast and was cast in NAPA Ensemble’s Rock of Ages.


NATASHA VESELINOVIC

Natasha Veselinovic is a musical theatre performer, writer, visual artist, co-artistic director of The Local Lesbians and Resident Director of The Seven Sopranos. She studied at The Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where she gained a Bachelor of Musical Theatre, and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Theatre (Griffith University).

Previous theatre credits include, Cover Madame Thenardier, in Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Miserables (Asia and Dubai tours), The Owl, in The Owl And The Pussycat (NSW Tour), The Happy Prince (David Young, Metro Arts), The Railway Children (Alex Parker Theatre Company, Cadogan Hall, London), The Girls From Oz (London Hippodrome, and Live at Zedel, London), Covent Garden's West End Christmas (London), Woman 2, 35mm: A Musical Exhibition (Australian Premiere), and Killer Queens (Brisbane Powerhouse, & HOTA).

Natasha is passionate about creating new Australian work, and has co-written several cabarets, including, Villains (Brisbane Powerhouse & QACI), Once Upon A Time (Toulouse Lautrec, London), and Matilda Award nominated, Lesbian Love Stories (RPAC, Brisbane Powerhouse, Metro Arts, Wynnum Fringe, Moncrieff Theatre, Midsumma Festival, World Pride, Sydney, and Adelaide Fringe). She has additionally been involved in many professional developments, including, Spark (Megan Shorey), One in Seven (Megan Shorey), Ladies in Black (Queensland Theatre), Antigone (Queensland Theatre), The Sun Queen (Tarita Botsman, Cre8ion), and Peter And The Starcatcher (Dead Puppet Society, QPAC).


ANDRE DRYSDALE

After graduating from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2016, Andre has appeared in multiple productions throughout Australia, including The One Armed Bandit, Daisy Moon was Born this Way and award-winning short film Pressure. Andre also had the opportunity to travel internationally with well-known trio, The Aussie Boys, and transitioned into touring shows such as Free to Air. Andre moved into the production of independent theatre with up-and coming company Last One Standing Theatre Company, with wonderful shows appearing in 2019 seasons Sydney-wide.

Ayla was accepted into WAAPA for directing in 2016 and is now studying at NIDA in 2019.


JY ETHERINGTON

Jy graduated from NIDA and was awarded Most Entertaining Soloist at Starbound Entertainers 2013 and Most Outstanding Supporting Actor at the Gold Coast Area Theatre Awards. Jy studied Musical Theatre at ADPI and recently performed with the Sydney Theatre Company.
