NEWS HIGHLIGHTS
CONGRATULATIONS BROADWAY TWEENS!
The cast of The Little Mermaid played to sold-out audiences this weekend, and they were an absolute smash! I cannot believe the talent within this group of young performers. For students in Grades 5–7, you certainly showed audiences that age is no barrier to professionalism, stage presence, and pure storytelling magic. Every performer brought such energy, confidence, and heart to the stage — it was a joy to watch.
A huge congratulations to the entire cast and crew, and a special thank you to our incredible teachers and backstage team who helped bring this underwater world to life. What a wonderful way to finish the year!
STUDENT HELPERS SUCCESS!
Behind every great show is an incredible team working tirelessly behind the scenes, and our student helpers truly shone this weekend! Six of our talented students took on the crucial roles of backstage support and show management for The Little Mermaid, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
From quick costume changes to set changes and supporting the younger performers, their dedication, focus, and teamwork were invaluable. These young leaders reminded us that every spotlight moment depends on the unseen efforts of a committed crew. Thank you for helping make the show such a magical success — we couldn’t have done it without you!
I’d also like to thank every single parent helper who assisted over the weekend. Your support is so invaluable and the only way we can continue to provide these opportunities for our cherubs.
THANK YOU!

The Art of Disconnecting
In today’s world, it can feel almost impossible to switch off. Between rehearsals, study, and social media, many young performers live in a constant state of being “on.” But the truth is, creativity and confidence need space to breathe — and sometimes that means stepping away from the scroll.
Social media can be a wonderful tool. It connects us, inspires us, and helps us share our art with the world. But it can also become a space of comparison, where we start measuring our worth by likes, followers, or filtered moments that rarely reflect real life. For young performers, that pressure can be especially heavy.
True artistry doesn’t live in a highlight reel. It grows in the quiet moments … in the rehearsal room, in reflection, in rest. When we disconnect, even for a little while, we give ourselves permission to reconnect with what really matters: our craft, our health, and the people around us.
So this week, try it: put your phone down for a few hours, take a walk, sing for yourself, journal your thoughts, or simply breathe. Remember that your value as a performer — and as a person — isn’t found in your feed. It’s found in your passion, your kindness, and your courage to be present in the real world.
CHERUB OF THE WEEK
CONGRATULATIONS LYLAH!
Meet Lylah, one of our senior NAPA Cherubs! ✨ She’s everywhere, from Broadway Extension and Dance classes to our Performance Teams, and she even helps out behind the scenes as a student helper for our Broadway Tweens class. Teachers love having her in class, and it’s easy to see why … Her bubbly personality lights up every room she walks into! Lylah is also a part-time NAPA College student and she is about to complete her Certificate III in Dance.
Congratulations LYLAH — we’re so proud of you!

The Heart of Our Community
As we near the end of another incredible year at NAPA, we’re reminded that the true magic of our academy doesn’t just happen on stage — it happens in the way we support, uplift, and believe in one another.
Every performer, no matter their age or experience, is part of something bigger. A creative family built on kindness, respect, and shared passion. Our younger students look to our seniors with admiration, and our graduates leave behind not just memories, but a legacy of leadership and example.
When one of us succeeds, we all do. Each milestone, from a student’s first class to their final curtain call, represents the dedication, encouragement, and teamwork that define who we are as a community.
As the end of year draws near, let’s also celebrate the spirit of togetherness that makes NAPA so special. Because in the end, it’s not the trophies or the titles that matter most — it’s the people who stood beside you, cheered for you, and helped you grow along the way.
Here’s to continuing to build a community that leads with heart, lifts with generosity, and shines brightest when we shine together.
