NAPA News - Week 8, Term 4, 2023
Dear NAPA Families,
I am sure you are all very busy with your various end of the year functions and celebrations at work and with your family and friends. Of course, NAPA events will be on your calendars and a lot of information has been sent out in emails and the newsletter for you to get your head around. Although this is a busy time of the year, please take some time to ensure you read the information given to you, so that your child does not miss out on any of the requirements for the upcoming events.
Congratulations Cast of Murder on the 518
I have loved directing our Senior Tread the Boards class in this comedic murder mystery. Working with them to create these stereo typed characters has been so much fun. They embraced their characterisations with great outcomes that resulted in terrific performances exhibited by every one of them. I couldn’t be prouder of their development and achievement. Well done cherubs!
College Cabaret Success
Congratulations to our College 2023 graduates who featured in our College Cabaret with support performances from our Year 11 students from the 2022 intake. It was wonderful to see the progress that each one of them have made in their time here at NAPA. Listening to each one of them communicate to the audience the impact NAPA has made on their lives and the happiness it has brought them, was so moving. They also expressed their gratitude to their families for all the support they have given them. What a great way to lead into the song of their choice that means so much to them. You were all fantastic! Thank you to our teacher Tim Carroll who directed this performance.
Filming Day
It was great to pop in on Sunday to see our Pre-Senior students working with their teacher Lily and the Bond University crew to do some filming which will be screened on the FTV Screening night. They got a real taste of what it is like to be on a real set. Thank you Lily, for organising this experience for our students.

Could you email me by Tuesday night if any of the following applies to your child:
Your child is in Yr 12 and is graduating (we know most of them but we don’t want to miss anyone as this has happened in the past)
This is the 5th year of being at NAPA
This is the 10th year of being at NAPA
Your child is not attending their awards ceremonies
Have a fantastic week everyone!
Best wishes,
Lynn & The NAPA Team
What a huge few weeks it has been at NAPA! Our competition season has certainly kept us busy, and we are incredibly proud of the way our students have represented the studio. Beyond the results, it has been wonderful to see the growth, teamwork, resilience and support for one another that comes from getting out on stage and putting all that hard work into practice. A massive congratulations to every student who performed, and a big thank you to our teachers and families for everything that goes on behind the scenes to make these weeks possible.
And there is certainly no slowing down just yet! We are now heading into an exciting few weeks of productions, with Bring It On and The Jungle Book Kids both getting ready to hit the stage. There is so much happening across the studio, and we can’t wait to see all of that rehearsal-room work come to life!
A little reminder as we head into production season: there will be some changes to our regular timetable during production weeks to accommodate rehearsals, performances and staff commitments. Please keep a close eye on your emails and studio correspondence, as we will communicate any class changes, cancellations or adjustments as early as possible.
It’s a busy time of year, but also one of our favourites with lots of opportunities to perform, learn, support our NAPA friends and celebrate what our students have been working towards. Thank you, as always, for staying on top of communication and for being part of our wonderful NAPA community.
Now, onto this week’s news!
