NAPA News - Week 6, Term 4, 2023

Dear NAPA Families,

So much joy and excitement is happening here at NAPA this week as everyone is preparing for the last performances and events for 2023.

Finding Nemo Jr

Oh my goodness this is cuteness overload! Our little ones are AMAZING! So much confidence, stage presence, characterisation and entertainment. Little musical theatre superstars! Can’t wait to see next week’s performances.

FTV Screening

WEDNESDAY, 6 DECEMBER. Tickets can be purchased online or from your portal. Please note that there is no charge for children and students. There are two sessions: 5pm Junior Acting for Stage & Screen, and 7pm Pre-Senior & Senior FTV classes. Enjoy watching your child up on the big screen. Awards for this group will be presented after the screening.

Gift Donations

A huge thank you to all our parents who have donated raffle prizes for our shows. Thank you also to our parents and students who helped with the selling of the raffle tickets. All money raised goes directly towards equipment and events that benefit our students. Our P&F are wonderful in managing this and getting feedback from parents, students and teachers in what is needed that is not covered by fees.

Thank you to our generous donators from these recent shows.

Pre-Senior FTV Filming Opportunity

A fabulous opportunity has come up for our Pre-Senior FTV students! On Sunday the 19th of November, a crew of Bond University Film and Television graduates (led by Lily Boisvert) will shoot short films starring the students in this class. This day will replace Pre-Senior classes on the 20th and 27th of November. It will give the students a chance to work with a crew, learn on set behaviour and practices, and experience acting in a short film. It will be a valuable experience for every student and provide them with the chance to not only receive usable showreel material but on set experience. You will be able to see these at their Screening night.

Parking Warning

I know it is difficult to find parking around here but please ensure you park on the streets. We have had a few complaints from our neighbours but just had one from the business across the road. During the shows, he has seen audience members’ cars parked on his property. He has now threatened to have any cars parked on his property towed at the owner’s expense. So please make an effort to find parking on the street. We don’t have many parks on our grounds and these need to be reserved only for our teachers, so they are not late for class looking for car parks.

Have a great week everyone!

Cheers
Lynn & the NAPA Team
