    • Auditions will be held at NAPA on Sunday, 5th January.

    • Session One (4-5pm) will be all actors auditioning for Christopher, Siobhan, Ed and Judy.

    • Session Two (5.30 – 7.30) will be those actors auditioning for the multi-role tracks.

    • Everyone is welcome to attend both sessions.

    • These will be cold read auditions, the script extracts will be available for perusal from 3.30pm.

    • Unfortunately, you will be unable to apply if you are unavailable during the final week of rehearsal or for any of the shows. 

    • Please refer to the character breakdowns below to select the roles that you may be eligible for.

    • All actors must be 18+

    • All characters will speak in an English Accent. The play is set in Swindon, Wiltshire.

    • Rehearsals will take place at NAPA Studios, 3 Stevenson Court, Burleigh Heads.

    • Rehearsal times may be subject to negotiation with the full cast.

    • Rehearsal schedule and script breakdown are attached. We will do our best to stick to this schedule but adjustments may be necessary and we work thorough the text.

  • CHRISTOPHER BOONE

    • Male presenting with a playing age 15/16

    • Neurodivergent teen boy

    • Likes: Maths, animals, outer space, the colour red

    • Dislikes: being touched, strangers, chatting, the colour yellow

    • Does not tell lies.

    • Excellent memory

    SIOBHAN

    • Female presenting with a playing age mid-twenties to mid-thirties

    • Christopher’s teacher.

    • Large portions of dialogue, much of the narration

    • Positive, warm but firm.

    • Gives kindy teacher.

     ED BOONE

    • Christopher’s Dad

    • Male present with a playing age late thirties to fifties

    • Caring but exasperated

    • A stoic, masculinity but at the end of his tether.

    • Sees Christopher clearly and loves him dearly.

    JUDY

    • Christopher’s Mum

    • Female presenting with a playing age of thirties to fifty

    • Choses flight over flight

    • Loves, but really struggles to manage and support, Christopher.

  • ACTOR ONE: Mrs Alexander/Posh Woman/Voice Six

    • Female presenting with a playing age late 50s+

The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Night Time was first presented by the National Theatre, London at the Cottesloe Theatre on 2nd August 2012 and transferred to the Apollo Theatre, West End, London on 12th March 2013.

The Play opened in the USA at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on 5th October 2014.
