NAPA News - Week 5, Term 4, 2023

Dear NAPA Families,

I’m Ba-aack

A big thank you to all the NAPA parents and students who sent beautiful messages to me whilst I was in hospital, it meant so much to me. Fortunately, I was released from hospital the week before my daughter’s wedding, so we made it there in time for all the pre-wedding activities in Sydney prior to the wedding. The wedding took place in Merribee, South of Nowra. Many of you have asked to see photos. I don’t have professional ones yet but here are a couple with Miss Kim and I with my daughter and of course, the happy couple.  A very special moment in a mum’s life which many of you have this to look forward to.

Now back to NAPA News

This term is intense with an event or show happening every week. As you can imagine this requires an incredible amount of work and long hours so please be patient if we are not responding or communicating information as fast as you would like. Our priority is always placed on the next event. So let’s take a look at our NAPA activities.

All Shook Up

Congratulations to our Broadway Bound class and teachers on their performance of All Shook Up. It was great to hear them all in the theatre this week, singing along and cheering throughout whilst watching the recording of the show. Lots to celebrate!

Vocal Concert

Congratulations to our vocal teachers and their singing students who performed at our Vocal Concert last Friday. For some of these students, they have never sung in front of an audience before, so this was a great learning experience for them. It was wonderful to see all the progress made and the stage presence exhibited.

Halloween Night

Students who have classes on Halloween night (Tuesday, 31 October) can come dressed up in Halloween costumes. We will try and capture lots of photos  on the night to post in next week’s newsletter.

Finding Nemo Jr

Chookas to all of our Broadway Kids and their teachers for our next production – Finding Nemo Jr which opens on Friday, 3 November. I am sure you are all getting excited to see your child on stage. Please ensure you have paid your media fee, so you get a recording and photos of the show. We greatly appreciate your support in reading all of the correspondence, so you are aware of procedures and requirements, and also thank you for all the offers of help. We understand it is a lot to get your head around if this is the first time your child has been in a show, but I promise, you will get used to all the behind scene operations eventually.

College Cabaret

Our College students are putting on a Cabaret under the direction of Tim Carroll to celebrate the end of the year and to make a special tribute to our graduates. This will be performed on Tuesday, 14 November at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased from our website and Parent Portal: $10 adults, $5 Children, $0 Performers
