Whilst Kander and Ebb are arguably the most famous musical writing duos of all time with Chicago and Cabaret included on their impressive list of shows, Curtains - their last collaboration is not as well known. Considered a love letter to Broadway, Curtains takes audiences into the world of theatre through the lens of a whodunnit comedy as the company preview Robbin Hood - a less than average new musical that aspires for Broadway with a terrible leading lady who happens to die at the curtain call. A murder investigation pursues with the Detective a secret Theatre fan who is just as interested in getting the show ready for Broadway as he is in solving the murder. This show has wonderful traditional Broadway numbers, rich flawed characters and catchy show tunes. Having spent last year in the land of High School Musical, Curtains is certainly a departure in style and I am most proud of how this young cast embraced a less familiar genre, songs that they weren’t familiar with and the very traditional Broadway style found in Robbin Hood - The show within the show. SYNOPSIS

Set in 1959 Boston, Curtains is a comedic murder mystery that blends the drama of a whodunit with the spectacle of a musical featuring backstage drama, an unexpected romance, and a race against time to unmask the murderer before they can strike again. A homicide detective, Frank Cioffi, who is also a theater enthusiast, must investigate the entire cast and crew to find the killer while simultaneously helping the show go on.
