NAPA News - Week 1, Term 3, 2024
Welcome Back to Term 3
We are well under way for Term 3! This past weekend our Broadway Bound Extension class performed Rock of Ages and were met with several standing ovations! The kids have had the best time working on this show and it brought me so much joy to see them smashing it every night. When we announced that we were doing a ‘rock’ musical the kids were unsure at first but seeing them step outside their comfort zone and embrace the challenge was just amazing. A great lesson in never shying away from a challenge and instead using the experience to grow into an even more versatile performer. We are SO proud of you all.
A massive thank you to our Rock of Ages team - Hollie, Steffi, Torrek, Thomas, Trina, Michael, David and Beau. We couldn’t do it without you.

Next up we have our Pre-senior Tread the Boards class performing “The Con”.
In this hilarious heist whodunit, a rare first-issue comic is up for grabs. Set at a Comic Con, this play consists of a series of vignettes, each with their own stand-alone story that also furthers the under-lying plot of a con in progress. This show is sure to keep you laughing and guessing with this clever Comic Con caper!

GAMES ROOM
Unfortunately, I have had to make the decision to remove all of the games from our cherub area after arriving on Saturday to find the room left in another terrible state. After repeated warnings and requests for more care being taken, there has been no improvements, so unfortunately these have been removed permanently.
GOLD COAST EISTEDDFOD
GCE kicks off this week with dance solos. A massive chookas to all of our performers who are competing over the next few weeks in dance, vocal and drama sections. Our groups will also compete in a few weeks, and we can’t wait to see the kids back on the HOTA stage. Good luck cherubs!
P&F UPDATE
A massive thank you to our P&F committee who are already achieving big things. You may have noticed our beautiful new signage, including our new dance wall logo. We also have new tables for the theatre which has enabled us to add extra seating for each show. This is fantastic as it will hopefully mean nobody will miss out on tickets for future shows. Thank you P&F!!
