NAPA News - Week 6, Term 4, 2022

DEAR NAPA FAMILIES,

Another busy week at NAPA with our Broadway Kids production of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Jr which opened on Friday night. This production is a huge bundle of cuteness on stage with lots of audible “ahhhhhs” from the audience. Great job cherubs! A big thank you goes out to all of the teachers, parent and student helpers involved in bringing this production to the stage. We could not have done it without the support of our wonderful NAPA family.

INSIDE OUT – DANCE CONCERT –
TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Due to a technical error in the HOTA ticketing system, our tickets for Inside Out went on sale early. Hopefully everyone saw the many posts and emails I sent out, and snagged their tickets. The bonus of doing our concert at HOTA is that there are plenty of tickets and all seats have a lovely view of the stage. How lucky are our dance students to have the opportunity to perform on the “big stage”? We can’t wait to see them shine up there!

PLEASE NOTE: Emails with schedules and important information have started going out today. Please ensure you are taking note of all times and dates and any other details pertaining to your child.

HALLOWEEN WEEK DRESS UP

Halloween dress ups are always a highlight for our little performers! Here are some of the wonderful costumes from a fun filled week.

BEST DRESSED - James Mitchell and Lylah Hore - congratulations!

ATTENDANCE AND COMMITMENT TO REHEARSALS

It’s always a struggle at this time of year to fit in all our children’s commitments. In between school, illness and extra-curricular activities, it can be hard to be at all classes and rehearsals. However, we have noticed an increase in students missing classes for reasons that appear not be imperative. Please remember, when auditioning or enrolling in classes that have major productions or competitions attached to them, all students must commit to prioritising rehearsals, especially around show time. It’s a tough part of the industry to have to miss out on such things as birthday parties or trick or treating, but it’s all worthwhile when the show comes together and we have great success as a team.

PERFORMANCE TEAM AUDITIONS

Final chance to register for our upcoming Performance Team auditions. Our award-winning teams are looking forward to another successful year in 2023 and are excited to welcome some new members into the family!

NEXT UP

Not long now until our final stage productions and presentations at NAPA. Next up we have our INTERMEDIATE TREAD THE BOARDS production of So You Wanna be a Cheerleader?

Performances are at 7.30pm on the 18th & 19th of November.

Don’t forget to keep your eye on our social media for lots of updates and pictures of what’s going on in classes.
