Congratulations Senior Tread the Boards Students!

They did an outstanding job on their performance of 30 Reasons Not to Be in a Play. This is a comedy that requires actors to play multiple representational characters and are on stage nearly the entire play – a challenge even for professionals. The play starts out with the actors telling the audience to go home as they were not going to put on a play, then their explanations to the audience as to why they won’t be putting on a play, created the content of the play with great comedic opportunities. It was my pleasure to work with these talented actors in the latter part of the rehearsal process. A big thank you goes out to John Arthars for all the great work he put into the play in the earlier part of rehearsals. Enjoy a well-deserved rest-week cherubs.

Chookas Fame Cast & Crew!

This week sees the opening of the fabulous musical, Fame. We wish the cast and their Director – Veronica Wnuk, Choreographer – Jacy Moore, Musical Directors – David Willis and Keiarn Chesbro, all the very best.  For those of you who were lucky enough to have purchased a ticket, you are in for a treat.

Welcome to the NAPA Family little Otis!

Congratulations to our wonderful teacher Mandy Morrison on the birth of her son, Otis Frederick Morrison born on 1st October. What a cutie!

Our new theatre floor

A huge thank you goes out to Laurie Dyer who gave up his holidays to put in our new floor in our Broadway Theatre as well as work on sets. The floor looks fabulous and by the fantastic comments and excited faces from everyone who first walks into the theatre, it is greatly appreciated.  Thank you to everyone who has supported our P&F raffles by either donating prizes or purchasing tickets, as well as purchasing from the bar during show times. The funds raised through these P&F initiatives is what provides the extra resources and upgrades for our students and their families.

We welcome donations from anyone who would like to provide prizes for our next few shows as we have some more exciting ideas for how we can resource some more opportunities for our students in 2023.  We will announce these as soon as we have had our next P&F meeting.

2023 Timetable

We have had a few enquiries regarding next year’s timetable. We are currently working on this and confirming with staff their classes and times. All efforts will be made to finalise this by the 1 December (before if we can) so you can plan your family weekly schedule with all of your other commitments in 2023.

Performance Teams off to Australian Dance Festival in 2023!

We are so excited to announce that next year we will be attending the Australian Dance Festival (ADF) in Sydney. As it is our first year we will not compete, but will focus on workshop experiences, along with some potential performance experiences. More information will be sent out about this in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled! The advertised dates are September 15-17.

There is an option to book through ADF recommended hotels here:

RAD Ballet exams

Congratulations to our RAD ballet students who had their RAD Ballet exams on Friday and good luck to those students who have their exams over the next few weeks. We are so proud of all your hard work. Thank you to Miss Tahnee and Miss Charlotte for all your support while preparing our cherubs.

Have an awesome week everyone
