NAPA News - Week 9, Term 3, 2022
DEAR NAPA FAMILIES,
We hope all our wonderful NAPA Dads had a fabulous Father’s Day. Only 2 more weeks left of Term 3 but still so much happening!
Tickets on Sale for Term 4 shows
Tickets for the beginning of Term 4 productions will be on sale from Tuesday, 6 September. Get your tickets quickly, as sadly, some of you have experienced missing our as we sell out quickly. We hate hearing about people missing out but there is little we can do about it as we are limited due to the large amount of shows we need to in the last two terms of the year.
The productions on sale tomorrow are as follows:
Senior Tread the Boards - 30 Reasons Not To Be in a Play
Broadway Bound - Fame
Broadway Kids - Rudolph
Intermediate Tread the Boards - So You Want to be a Cheerleader
Congratulations Vocal Soloist and Teachers
The Vocal Soloist Concert was a fantastic night of being treated by our private singing lesson students, who are receiving private singing lessons, to an entertaining night of great performances. Congratulations to all of our soloists who performed beautifully. Thank you to their singing teachers, David Willis, Jackie Turner, and Keiarn Chesbro, for their high level of training enabling them to reach this standard of performance.

Opening of Xanadu
Chookas to all of the cast and crew for the production of Xanadu that opens at the end of this week. We are all working hard in the last few rehearsals to ensure that it is a wonderful tribute to Olivia Newton John. A big shout out to Laurie Dyer for our fabulous set, to Trina and Stefanie Power for the wonderful artwork, Thomas Bell for creating our lighting states, Colleen Reynolds who has been flat out making such a large amount of costumes, and Di Saunders, Kelly L’Orange, Sarah Longhurst and Charli Guest for their assistance with costumes. Kim, Jackie, our student helpers and I are so grateful for all of the assistance in creating the fabulous visuals of the show.
Thank you to all of our parents who have volunteered to help with backstage, FOH, Bar, bump-out and washing. Also thank you to the following sponsors who have provided fabulous prizes for our raffles throughout the show:
Anna Guljas
Carolyn Fox (Garbo & Kelly)
Sacha Fahy
Get the Beat Awards
Congratulations students and teachers who have been nominated for the GTB Awards this year! Awards will be announced at GTB Gala at Finals in September holidays.
Lost Property
Once again, the lost property is huge! Next week, all will be either thrown out or given to the Salvation Army. Seeing dance shoes, NAPA and school uniform items is a concern as these are very expensive and I am not sure how our cherubs are doing classes without them. Each term we chuck out a massive amount of drink bottles, which is such a big waste. Please check out the photos below and if you think any of these items belongs to your child, please collect them before they get tossed.
Increased Canteen Prices
Currently the canteen is operating at a big loss. This means at the start of next term we will need to increase the prices and narrow the variety of items we sell. It provides a great service to our NAPA families so we don’t want to close the canteen, so hopefully we can break even with a few changes. The Saturday sausage sizzle prices will go up, starting next week to $3.00 and for a sausage and drink, $4.50.
Have a wonderful week everyone,
Lynn & Team
