NAPA News - Week 8, Term 3, 2022

DEAR NAPA FAMILIES,

It was another proud week for all of us at NAPA. So many great achievements for our students. As Gold Coast Eisteddfod groups draw to a close, we move into Xanadu preparations!

NAPA COLLEGE KIDS TAKE OUT FIRST PLACE

Speaking of Gold Coast Eisteddfod … our NAPA College students were awarded first place in the School Group section on Friday with their self-choreographed Musical Theatre piece.

They did everything themselves from choreography to costumes to working out their harmonies. This is for an assessment piece and I think we can confidently say they passed!

MORE GOLD COAST EISTEDDFOD SUCCESS

We are also so excited to have been awarded some special awards for our Performance Teams.

13+ Aggregate Award – Highest Scoring Studio
12&U Aggregate Runner-up Award – Runner-up Highest Scoring Studio
Outstanding Performance Award – “Rockin the Boat” – NAPA College Extension Dance

Well done to all our Performance Team members and thank you to our amazing dance teachers and choreographers for your hard work with our students.

SPENCER IN LA!

Congratulations to Spencer Hermes-Rebello whose TV series Surfside Girls premiered on AppleTV last week! Here is Spencer at the premiere in LA and a great article from The Courier Mail.

XANADU!

Our Xanadu students are hard at work and will soon hit the stage with this fun 80’s musical. We know our audiences are going to love singing along to the fun songs and reminiscing on the “good times”. All performances are now sold out, so hopefully everyone has purchased their tickets! Parents – please ensure you’re up to date with all extra rehearsals and requirements for the coming weeks.
