NAPA News - Week 5, Term 3, 2022
DEAR NAPA FAMILIES,
Another fabulous week at the studio begins! This past week saw many of our dance soloists compete at Gold Coast Eisteddfod, final rehearsals for our Pre-senior play and unfortunately … a lot of illness! We are thinking of all our students and families who are suffering through a very germy winter. I’m sure we’re all looking forward to warmer days and sunshine.
ATTENTION 6s, 8s and 10s PERFORMANCE Teams -
Due to GOLD COAST EISTEDDFOD there will be no PERFORMANCE TEAM classes on Saturday, 13 August.
THE DAY THE INTERNET DIED
Our Pre-senior acting class presented this hilarious play on Sunday. The Day the Internet Died explores how inept we are at dating, research, and basic human interactions when we don't have a screen to look at! Well done on a great performance students, and congratulations to Director Jane Irvine. Special thank you to our NAPA College student mentor Kaden and our resident tech Thomas for their invaluable help with the production.
Pre-senior acting students will have a rest week next week and resume regular classes on Wednesday, 17 August.
COLLEGE CABARET POSTPONED
Unfortunately, illness has prevented our College students from presenting their Cabaret yet again. As our calendar is so full it has been a challenge to find a new date, but we have decided the Cabaret will be presented on Tuesday, 23 August in our Broadway Bound Extension class time. That way, our Extension class can view the performance along with our College families. The show will commence at 7.00pm for any NAPA families who would like to be part of the audience.
GOLD COAST EISTEDDFOD – DANCE SOLOISTS
Well done to all our soloists who competed over the past week. We are so proud of your results, but more importantly we are proud of your growth, your sportsmanship and for always representing NAPA with such professionalism. Good luck to all our students who are competing in Vocal and Drama sessions over the coming weeks and a massive CHOOKAS to our Performance Teams who begin their performances on Friday.
