BROADWAY KIDS’ ANNOUNCEMENTS
We are excited to announce that we have the Performing Rights for Rudolph the Musical. Rudolph is a ‘feel good’ Christmas story that centres around acceptance of individual differences. You will be treated with some wonderful well known and unknown Christmas songs. It is perfect musical for this group of students that is was worth the wait.
We would also like to welcome on board our new acting teacher and director of the musical for this group, Katy Charles Otto. Due to new additional work commitments, Veronica is no longer able to take this group but we are thrilled to have Katy on board. Check Katy’s credentials and experience on our website.

PERFORMANCE TEAMS -
DRESS REHEARSALS + COMP WEEK
Our first group comp for 2022 is finally here! They will be performing this Saturday, 14 May. It is super important that you have read all correspondence from Kim and that you are headed into the week fully prepared. You have recently received an email from Kim regarding the process of the day (arrival times and procedures, costumes, hair, make-up etc). Please ensure you have read this thoroughly.
Good luck cherubs!!

WELCOME TO OUR NEW TEACHER, JANE IRVINE, FOR THE INTERMEDIATE & PRE-SENIOR TREAD THE BOARDS CLASSES
We are excited to have Jane join our teaching team. Jane is an experienced Drama teacher and director. She currently teaches Drama at Somerset College. Her bio will be on our website soon for you to check out.
COURTNEY MONSMA IS VISITING US THIS FRIDAY - BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!
As you all know Courtney (Anna in Frozen) is coming on Friday, 13 May at 5pm to answer any questions you may have about her career or the show or showbiz in general. You can also have photos taken with Courtney. But there’s more exciting news! This week a few of us had the pleasure of attending QPAC for the launch of Courtney’s first album, In the Light – we couldn’t have been prouder of her. So we have organised that as you arrive at the Q&A session or while you having photos taken, you will be treated to her songs from this album which will be playing in the background. If you wish to purchase the CD we will have it on sale for you at a merchandise table to purchase directly.
REMINDERS
UNIFORMS - there are still quite a few that haven’t been picked up yet, please do so this week.
WEARING COSTUMES - there’s a theatrical rule that costumes should only be seen on stage. The reason behind this is that if audiences see a costume prior to the performances, the costume loses impact. So please, even after a dress rehearsal or a fitting, ensure your child takes off the costume and puts back on their clothing before being seen by anyone not involved in the performance.
PARKING A few parents are still parking in the studio car park. Please leave these few spots for our teachers.
What a fabulous week we are about to have with so much going on!
Enjoy!
Best wishes,
Lynn & the NAPA Team
