The training ground of australia’s musical theatre elite

The National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) was established in 2006 in response to the growing need for a production-based training institute on the Gold Coast of Australia. Since then it has grown to be one of the largest and most prestigious performing arts academies, offering elite training in Music Theatre, Stage and Film Acting, Acrobatics, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and RAD Ballet.

Many of our alumni have gone on to study at renowned Performing Arts Universities: The Queensland Conservatorium of Music, WAAPA, NIDA, VCA, Elder Conservatorium and Pace University in New York City.

Current students and graduates have worked professionally in musicals ‘Wicked’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Tina: The Tina Turner Musical’, ‘Frozen’, ‘Six’, ‘Matilda’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Annie’, ‘The King and I’, ‘Hairspray’ and ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’.

Co-founders Lynn Dyer and Kim Reynolds’ focus is on assisting the talented and dedicated students who wish to seek employment in the theatre and entertainment industry. The experiences we offer instil a love for this art form while improving creativity and communication skills.
