After an acclaimed 15 year professional career with success across every genre, NAPA was thrilled to welcome Hollie to the NAPA team in 2017. With degrees from WAAPA (Music Theatre) and Flinders University (Drama) Hollie has appeared in, won awards and been nominated for her various roles including; Film: Somersault, TV: Double the Fist, Underbelly, Doubletake, Supernova (1&2) and Fat Tony, STAGE: Hair (The Production Co), The Last 5 Years (Echelon Productions), Snuggle Pot and Cuddlepie (Belvoir), The Sapphires (Company B/Black Swan), The Wog Boys (Australian National Tour) and The Rabbits (Opera Australia). As a cinematic triple threat (director/writer/actor) Hollie has completed 2 short films and is currently in the final stages of funding her first full length feature film as co- director/writer/actor. With the ideal combination of firsthand experience and enthusiasm, we all look forward to an exciting future with Hollie as part of the NAPA team.

Amy has been on the NAPA team forever. She holds a Bachelor of Drama Education, Performers Certificate and ATCL and is an experienced teacher of Acting and Speech & Drama. As a teacher she specialises in working with speech correction, theatre acting, character study and audition technique. Past students are current students and graduates of WAAPA, VCA, QUT and NIDA and performing in national touring shows, feature films and network television. She has directed 3-4 plays and musicals a year for over 10 years, with credits spanning all forms and styles of theatre, from Footloose to The Crucible, Shakespeare to contemporary Australian works. Miss Amy is a creative and innovative director and a teacher who is committed to walking with students on their journey to becoming confident, highly skilled performers.
BROADWAY BOUND DIRECTOR/MUSICAL DIRECTOR (THURSDAY CLASS) AND PRIVATE TUITION
Chiara has always had a passion for the arts and arts education. She continues to work in many areas of the industry as a teacher, writer, director and performer. Chiara holds a Bachelor of Music [Musical Theatre] with the Queensland Conservatorium of Music (QCGU) under the guidance of Paul Sabey as well as an Advanced Diploma in Arts [Acting] from Southbank Institute of Technology under the tutelage of Norman Price and Lisa O’Neill. Some of Chiaras’ performance credits include productions of Blood Brothers (Mrs. Johnstone), Working (Grace), Oklahoma (Aunt Eller), Hamlet/Machine (Queen Gertrude) and The Truth About Kookaburras (Noni Lindquist/Leanne Flemming), which was written and directed by Sven Swenson. Chiara worked as assistant director on the 2016 production of The Secret Garden (QCGU) alongside critically acclaimed West End director Ian Good; and she directed CONfused in 2017; a cabaret by Passion Productions that helped raise money for Brisbane based charities. Chiara is currently undertaking her Masters Degree in Vocal Pedagogy and teaching in both acting and music disciplines.

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts: Drama as well as a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Drama) from QUT, Kelvin Grove. As a teacher, she specialises in character study, ensemble skills, vocal work and physical theatre. Melanie has directed countless plays and musicals at several leading high schools as Drama Coordinator, as well as performing in several Brisbane Metro Arts Theatre productions. She prides herself on developing challenging and innovative productions that is not only focused on extending the skills of young artists but aims to build confidence in their own performance work.

Kristine is a graduate of the Vocal Pedagogy course at Griffith University’s Queensland Conservatorium. She has taken part and observed various workshops and Master classes with internationally renowned Contemporary and Music Theatre voice specialists including Mary Saunders-Barton, Anne Peckham, Irene Bartlett and Natalie Weiss. Kristine has also completed her Performance Certificate and received an Exhibition Award in Classical Voice for her final exam under the tutelage of Queensland Soprano, Maggie Noonan. Graduating in 2007 with First Class Honours in Education and Drama/Music, she also teaches singing full time at St Andrews Lutheran College. Kristine contributes regularly to the local Community Theatre Scene, both performing in and Vocal Directing local productions. Most recently, Kristine was the recipient of the Best Supporting Actress in a Musical Award at the 2016 GC Theatre Awards for her performance in Spotlight Theatre’s BONNIE AND CLYDE (Blanche) and nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in GCLT’s LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (Crystal) in 2017.
BROADWAY KIDS MUSICAL DIRECTOR AND PRIVATE VOCAL TUITION
Starting early, Steffanie began singing on stage at age 4. She studied voice throughout her schooling years and completed her AMEB exams, all the while, performing across a variety of genres in school, local and semi-professional productions. Steffanie has been teaching singing for over 12 years at a number of institution across the Gold Coast. She joined the NAPA team as a voice teacher in 2015 and has assisted in their productions of Seussical, The Wiz, Aristocats and Camp Rock.
Steffanie has a Bachelor of Education with a specialisation in music and is currently a Year 4 teacher at Silkwood School at Mt Nathan. She continues to perform on stage in musicals and musical reviews across the Gold Coast.
BROADWAY BOUND CHOREOGRAPHER (THURSDAY CLASS)
Jacy’s mother was the owner of a successful dance studio in FNQ so it seemed inevitable that Jacy would end up with a career in the performing arts. During her childhood she studied many styles of dance, including RAD ballet, and ISTD and FATD jazz and tap. During her senior schooling years, Jacy found a passion for acting and drama and went on to obtain a bachelor degree in Creative Arts (acting). Jacy is an accomplished actor, dancer and choreographer and has entertained audiences worldwide for over 20 years. Throughout Southeast Queensland she has performed lead roles in many plays and musicals including Chicago, Rocky Horror Show, A Chorus Line and The Boy from Oz. As an employee of Warner Bros MovieWorld, Jacy spent a decade performing, writing, directing and choreographing a multitude of shows and she held the position of Dance Captain and Resident Choreographer for many years. Jacy has had roles in many Film and TV productions and recently brought her choreographic ability to the small screen. In 2018 she choreographed dance routines for TV series broadcast on Channel 10 and SBS.
RAD BALLET AND PRIVATE TUITION
Amy Fitz began dancing at the age of 8 at the Wendell School of Ballet, NSW and was trained in RAD Ballet, before moving to Melbourne to train with the Brian Nolan Academy. Here she was trained in Cecchetti while also continuing RAD exams. At the age of 12 Amy moved on to train at the VCA National Ballet School, Brent Street and Danceworld 301. Amy holds diplomas from The Australian Ballet School with certificates in RAD, Speech and Drama, Special Effects Make-up and is registered with CSTD. Amy has performed on stage, in television and film. She has worked with television greats such as Ray Martin, Andrew Denton and Bert Newton. Amy has done commercial work for McDonalds, KFC, Levis and Coca Cola and was a member of the Show and Entertainment Team for Warner Bros. Movie World.

Sam is a classically educated dancer training under Sonja Middlebosch of GCDDC, Sally Wicks and Paul Boyd. At 16 years of age he undertook a week intensive secondment, working with the company members of Expressions Dance Company. In the same year he travelled through America and Europe to train, taking private classes at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and Martha Graham. At 18 he received a contract to work on-board Royal Caribbeans, Liberty of the Seas, performing in the Broadway musical “Saturday Night Fever” and aerial show “In The Air” as a featured aerialist. Shortly after, at the age of 19, he accepted a contract on Norwegian Cruise Line as a Production Dancer. Sam has been choreographing and coaching on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Sydney since 2015 where his brilliant choreography has seen him become one of Queensland’s most sort after teachers.

Sanford brings a synthesis of 30 years understanding as an athlete, professional entertainer, speaker, coach and consultant as well as his experience in business, research and academia. Sanford is an example and advocate for our young people to live their extraordinary potential and use their critical thinking gifts devoid of unexpected challenges, failures, struggles and fears. Sanford has worked with numerous sports teams, schools and has created many of his own programs where he never misses an opportunity to challenge fears and limiting beliefs in every student he encounters.
6’S TEAM, MUMMY & ME, MINI ACRO DANCE, INTERMEDIATE & SENIOR TECHNIQUE AND PRIVATE DANCE TUITION
Alana originally started out as a ballet dancer, completing an Associate Degree in Dance at QUT. She then trained under QLD ballet director Harold Collins, then under the guidance of contemporary director Leigh Warren. Alana then auditioned and performed in many musicals nationally and locally. Eventually grounding her feet on the Gold Coast Alana spent the next 10 years performing on the streets of Movie World. Relocating to Namibia with her husband for Mad Max 4 gave Alana the chance to explore new avenues, becoming personal trainer to producer Doug Mitchel and discovering a love for lifting weights. Alana now holds a world record in her weight class in powerlifting. But not one to stray away from the studio, Alana also taught ballet and technique classes there to German speaking students! Alana now has a young daughter, is a show host at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and is passionate about teaching young dancers to be the best they can be.
NAPA COLLEGE, TAP TECHNIQUE, 12’S AND 15'S TAP TEAMS AND PRIVATE DANCE TUITION
Sarah has trained in all styles of dance from a young age under renowned teacher Kay Horsey, completed all of her CSTD examinations in Tap, Jazz and Ballet, competed, performed professionally around Australia and continued as a dance teacher for the last 8 years. She was awarded the CSTD Teachers Certificate in Tap under the guidance of highly regarded examiner Sandra Breen and ever since she has been spreading her love for tap dance on to Gold Coast students of all ages. After completing her Bachelor of Exercise Science degree followed by her Masters of Physiotherapy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, she now works full-time next door at The Living Well Studio as a Physiotherapist, and Clinical Pilates Instructor. After living the physical toll and hardships of dance herself and watching her students face the increasing demands of the industry first-hand, Sarah strives to help empower the next generation of dancers to take responsibility for their health and wellbeing whilst developing flexibility, strength and dance technique safely as they seek a long and successful career in the performing arts industry. Sarah is excited for another year with NAPA as she takes pride in seeing her students develop and grow as well as helping to keep the love of tap alive!
12'S LYRICAL AND ADULT/PRE-PRO & INTERMEDIATE TECHNIQUE AND PRIVATE DANCE AND TRINITY GUILDHALL TUITION
Madi started dancing at the age of 3 and has had a passion for performing ever since. Growing up she trained in various genres including RAD Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre and Vocal Training. Madi has an impressive performance record of musicals, shows, examinations and television appearances. In 2012 she appeared with her dance group ‘Imani’ on the revival of Young Talent Time as well as Australia’s Got Talent. In 2014 she completed her Trinity College of LondonMusical Theatre Exams with Distinctions.
In 2015 Madi moved overseas to England where she worked for 12months as a Teachers Assistant in an Academic Boarding School. Madi is now currently working and performing for Village Roadshow Themeparksin her role as Show and Entertainment 2IC. Madison is also regularly contracted by entertainment companies to perform at corporate events across the Gold Coast and Brisbane. She loves her job, and looks forward to sharingher enthusiasm and industry knowledge with the NAPA students.

Tahnee began her ballet training at the age of 6, and has had a passion for ballet and dance since then. At the age of 14, Tahnee trained full-time with Suzanne Way at Professional Ballet Coaching Academy for eighteen months. Over this time, Tahnee competed in competitions such as Alana Haines Australasian Awards, was a finalist in the Robert & Elizabeth Albert Ballet Scholarship and at the Jacqueline Moreland Awards and winner of J.J. Richards Memorial Scholarship. At 15, Tahnee was accepted into English National Ballet School, The Royal Ballet School’s Summer School and offered a full tuition scholarship to Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto, where she studied for two years. While training in Toronto, Tahnee performed in the Stephen Godfrey Choreographic Competition, the school’s excerpt of ‘Napoli’ for their Spring Showcase and numerous performances throughout the school years. Through her experiences, Tahnee has turned to teaching to contribute towards a supportive learning environment for students. She strongly believes in the importance of students having passionate and nurturing mentors that will inspire and encourage them in their careers, and is very excited to be a part of the NAPA community.
