    PLEASE NOTE

    • For students selecting optional classes, these times may extend beyond these core times depending on their selection

    • Some Fridays will be used for exams and performance assessments as well as special guest workshops

    • Academic work is supervised at the studio, but Friday should be used to complete academic work and College assessments.

During the day, students are supervised in their academic studies between timetabled classes that are specifically structured to align with the ATOD units and the assessments required for each unit.

In the evening, students participate in compulsory classes that provide additional training to develop skills and techniques required for the Cert IV course. These classes are covered by the Cert IV fees. The compulsory classes are as follows:

    • Senior Tread the Boards

    • Senior Film and TV

    • Broadway Bound Extension

Students may wish to do extra classes, that are not compulsory. They may select two free of charge, any more will be charged at the regular class fee.

    • The cost of the course is $8000 per year. A deposit of $800 will be required on acceptance of your place offered. Payments will be made monthly for the rest of the fees.

    • On top of fees money should be budgeted for excursions. Students are required to see live performances and we also organise social events.

    • Students will require a laptop.

  • This is done through Distance Education. We require that successful applicants enrol in the Cairns School of Distance Education. This school waivers all school fees for Queensland students. NAPA will supervise student studies here at the studio, however it is important to note that this is an extra service not a requirement. The responsibility for the child’s learning rests in the hands of the parent. The student and parent are responsible for uploading assessments and meeting educational requirements of their chosen academic subjects. Students will require a laptop to work on during their timetabled ‘home’ studies. Parents can choose to supervise their child’s studies at home, however, students must be at the studio in time for their Cert IV classes.

  • All successful students will be required to purchase and wear a NAPA College uniform. Wearing a uniform will be taken seriously and we expect our NAPA College students to wear this appropriately and with pride. More detail will be given in the Information Handbook to successful applicants.
