SHANNON ATKINS

GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER AND NAPA COLLEGE WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR

Shannon was the original director and founder of “Dance Technique”on the Gold Coast, and has students currently performing on Broadway and attending prestigious schools including the Juilliard School, The Royal Ballet School and The Ailey School. She was also the tap and jazz instructor at the Queensland Conservatorium musical theatre program in Brisbane, Australia along with choreographing musical productions for this course. Shannon is currently teaching and choreographing in all genres of dance throughout the United States and including the world famous Broadway Dance Center, Breaking Ground Dance Center and Studio Larkin. She is also judging and teaching convention for various competitions across the states and internationally and is on faculty for Starpower which is the largest and longest running talent competition in the country. She is also a mentor on showcase hub which is a company that consists of the most prestigious choreographers in the US and connects industry professionals to dancers of all levels. In 2017 she traveled to Poland as a coach with the USA Dance Company for the World Championships in Jazz and Modern and most recently has filmed for the new season of Dance Moms.

MADDISON CLAY

GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER

Born and raised in Queensland, Australia Maddison began dancing at the age of three, training in all facets of dance. After being accepted into ‘The Ailey School’ at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre she moved to New York City in 2012. Since then Maddison has had the opportunity to perform works by esteemed choreographers and dance with multiple Companies throughout New York and other US cities. Along with performing and choreographing Maddison travels throughout the USA judging regional and national dance competitions under the 'Star Dance Alliance'. She has also completed her R.A.D Advanced 2 examination with distinction and holds a Certificate lll. in Performing Arts.

SAMUEL DOMINIC

GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER

Sam is a classically educated dancer training under Sonja Middlebosch of GCDDC, Sally Wicks and Paul Boyd. At 16 years of age he undertook a week intensive secondment, working with the company members of Expressions Dance Company. In the same year he travelled through America and Europe to train, taking private classes at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and Martha Graham. At 18 he received a contract to work on-board Royal Caribbeans, Liberty of the Seas, performing in the Broadway musical “Saturday Night Fever” and aerial show “In The Air” as a featured aerialist. Shortly after, at the age of 19, he accepted a contract on Norwegian Cruise Line as a Production Dancer. Sam has been choreographing and coaching on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Sydney since 2015 where his brilliant choreography has seen him become one of Queensland’s most sort after teachers.
